Good Old-Fashioned Homemade Pancakes

After relentless attempts at making homemade pancakes, I’ve finally managed to produce something edible.

Making the pancakes a tad smaller, I’ve served these warm and fluffy delights with marmalade, crunchy peanut butter and cream cheese. Great for afternoon snacks.

Serves 2

Ingredients :
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 1/4 cup milk
3 tablespoon melted butter

Directions :
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in milk, egg and melted butter and mix until smooth.

Heat a lightly frying pan over medium hear. Pour the batter onto the pan. Brown on both sides and serve hot.
