I love Wordpress

I couldn’t be more happier with Wordpress. From the downloading process to installation and configuration, it was easy-peazy. Any newbie could do it, especially me!
I started out with registering a domain name and renting a web server. Many web host provides both services at the same time. I have mine on LimeBox for the automatic web hosting; which simply means that as soon as you complete the payment process, you’ll instantly get your account (only works with PayPal / Credit Card payment method though). The whole transaction was a breeze and it only took me 10mins to get my account up and running.
My next step was integrating a blogging platform. I chose Movable Type without further research and it turned out a HUGE mess. The installation was lengthy, technical and there wasn’t a proper documentation. After numerous attempts, I’ve managed to pass the installation stage and finally got to the dashboard. There were some glitches and I had to spent another half a day trying to work it out. I had to give up.
Which eventually brought me to Wordpress.
The installation ran smooth (I used the automatic installation on Fantastico, very fast!) and the configurations were made for dummies. Now I can finally work on the design and contents for the website. I will find the time to include documentations on some processes. So check back soon!
