Lush Fresh Face Mask, Brazened Honey

I have always been a fan of Lush products. I don’t have favourites in particular but I use their hand and body cream regularly. I also use one of their yummy-looking and really-nice-smelling soap for a hand wash. Even their massage bars are good. So it made sense to me to look for a mask from Lush.

Lush Fresh Face Mask are made fresh and they have expiry dates. They’re quite pricey too. A little pot of 55ml costed me 16chf. I was slightly put off by that. So there are different types of masks (Cosmetic Warrior, The Sacred Truth, Cupcake…) and among the load of choices, I was recommended Brazened Honey by the helpful and smiley Lush assistant.

texture: thick & grainy
color: like the yellow of an egg
smell: honey-ish, egg-ish with a little hint of citrus

This mask is supposed to be detoxifying which you apparently use when you are utterly ashamed by the look of your skin. During the application of the mask, I felt an instant cooling sensation. The grainy bits (grounded almond shells) acted like an exfoliator and polish my skin leaving it smooth after I rinse it off. True to its description, it served its purpose on my face.

What I like about this mask is, I can use it every 2 or 3 days and it does not strip away my skin’s natural moisture.
